What are Shipping Methods?

Shipping methods determine how an order will be delivered.


They are typically linked to:

  • Carrier (e.g. DPD, DHL)

  • Service level (e.g. Next Day, Economy)

  • Delivery speed and cost

How to Choose the Right Shipping Method

The correct method depends on:

  • Delivery speed required

    • Destination (domestic vs international)

    • Order type (B2C vs B2B)

    • Customer expectations

Examples:

  • Next Day → urgent customer orders

  • Economy → cost-effective shipping

  • Timed delivery → B2B or scheduled deliveries

Using Shipping Rules

If “Use Shipping Rules” is selected:
